Hazrat Aisha farmati hain: Ap ï·º par Wahi ka Aghaz Achay, Sachay or Pakeeza khwabon se hua, jo k din ki roshni ki tarha sachay hotay thay. Or phir Ap ï·º Tanhai Pasand hogaye. Ap ï·º akelay hi Ghar-e-Hira jaya kartay thay jahan par wo lagataar Allah ki ibadat kia kartay thay bohat din tak, jab tak apka dil na karta apnay ghar walon ko dekhnay ka. Ap ï·º apnay sath Safar ka Khana lekar jaya kartay thay, or phir jab wo khatam hojata to wapas apni wife Khadeeja k pas atay dobara khana lenay k liye, jab tak unpar Wahi nazil hona shuru hogai, jab wo Ghar-e-Hira me thay. Jibreel A.S unkay pas aye or unko parhnay k liye kaha. Ap ï·º ne jawab dia, "Me parhna nahi janta" Ap ï·º ne mazeed kaha, "Jibraeel ne mujhay ZOR se pakra or ITNI ZOR SE DABAYA k meri bardasht ki had hogai. Jibreel ne mujhay phir chora, or PHIR se kaha k parho or menay kaha, 'Me parhna nahi janta.' Jibrael ne mujhay phir se zor se pakra or itni zor se dabaya k me bardasht na kar saka. Jibreel ne mujhay chora or phir kaha k parho, lekin menay phir jawab dia, 'Me parhna nahi janta' (ya 'Me kya parhon)?' Jibraeel ne mujhay phir se teesri dafa pakra or zor se dabaya or chor dia, or kaha, 'Parho apnay Rab k name k sath, jis ne Tamam cheezon ko peda kia jo kuch mojood hai, insaan ko peda kia khoon ki phatki se. Parho! Or apka Rab bohat meharban hai." (96.1, 96.2, 96.3) Or phir Ap ï·º Wahi k sath wapas aye or apka dil tezi k sath dharak raha tha. Phir wo apni wife Khadeeja k pas or kaha, "Mujhay dhaanp do! Mujhay dhaanp do!" Unhon ne Ap ï·º ko dhanp dia jab tak apka dar khatam nahi hogya. Or uskay bad, Ap ï·º ne sab kuch bataya jo jo hua tha or kaha, "Mujhay dar hai k mujhay kuch hojaega." Hazrat Khadeeja ne jawab dia, "Kabhi nahin! Allah ki Qasam, Allah apko kabhi bhi ruswa nahi karega. Ap apnay rishtaydaaron k sath achay se pesh atay hain, ghareebon ki madad kartay hain, apnay mehmanon ka bohat achay se khayal rakhtay hain, or ap un logon ki madad kartay hain jo museebton me phansay hain or madad k haqdar hain." Hazrat Khadeeja phir Ap ï·º ko apnay cousin Waraqa bin Naufal k pas lay gaeen, jo Islam se pehlay k waqat me Eesaai (Christian) ban gya tha, or Hebrew me likha karta tha. Wo Injeel ko Abraani zuban me likha karta tha, jitna Allah ki marzi hoti. Wo aik boorha admi tha, jiski nazar ja chuki thi. Kaash me jawan hota or us waqat tak zinda rehta jab tumharay log tumhain apnay shehar se nikaal dengay." Allah k Rasool ï·º ne kaha, "Kya wo mujhay nikaal dengay?" Waraqa ne haan me jawab dia or kaha, "Jo bhi Allah ki Wahi lekar aya hai logon me, logon ne us k sath esa hi salook kia hai." Lekin kuch din bad Waraqa ki moat hogai, or Ap ï·º par Wahi ana bhi kuch time tak ruk gai.
Original English Translation
Narrated 'Aisha: (the mother of the faithful believers) The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah's Messenger (ï·º) was in the form of good dreams which came true like bright daylight, and then the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him. He used to go in seclusion in the cave of Hira where he used to worship (Allah alone) continuously for many days before his desire to see his family. He used to take with him the journey food for the stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food likewise again till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet (ï·º) replied, "I do not know how to read." The Prophet (ï·º) added, "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, 'I do not know how to read.' Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read but again I replied, 'I do not know how to read (or what shall I read)?' Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said, 'Read in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that exists), created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous." (96.1, 96.2, 96.3) Then Allah's Messenger (ï·º) returned with the Inspiration and with his heart beating severely. Then he went to Khadija bint Khuwailid and said, "Cover me! Cover me!" They covered him till his fear was over and after that he told her everything that had happened and said, "I fear that something may happen to me." Khadija replied, "Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving calamity-afflicted ones." Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin 'Abdul 'Uzza, who, during the pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with Hebrew letters. He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to Waraqa, "Listen to the story of your nephew, O my cousin!" Waraqa asked, "O my nephew! What have you seen?" Allah's Messenger (ï·º) described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, "This is the same one who keeps the secrets (angel Gabriel) whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out." Allah's Messenger (ï·º) asked, "Will they drive me out?" Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said, "Anyone (man) who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility; and if I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly." But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while.
